Ruki's Journals #4: That went well. Not.

In my last post (which I made over a month ago!) I declared my three new year resolutions for 2010 and so far… I’ve failed them all. Well, I’m been watching pretty much the highest amount of anime physically possible (that’s one I didn’t fail),  but blogging more actively and becoming more healthy are goals that if anything have drifter farther away from me. As soon as the snow is gone, though, I will become more physically active, but what am I going to do about blogging more? As proved many times already, it’s not enough to just decide that I will blog more; but what else is there to do? Please tell me if you have any suggestions…

Anyway, since it feels weird just saying hello after a month’s absence with some news about how Seikon no Qwaser has officially moved on to the hentai genre, I thought I’d make this post an entry to Ruki’s Journals (namely, entry number four) and also tell you a little about what’s been going on this month and what is soon to come, even though these journals were originally meant to be exclusively for when I actually travel somewhere and want to share stories and pictures and whatnot. Oh well, let’s begin, shall we?

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya

I’ve been watching a lot of anime. Duh. Besides the standard 15-show weekly schedule, I finally finished To Aru Majutsu no Index (I started over from the first episode; however I had previously watched the first 18 episodes of the 24-episode series) and started on the side-story To Aru Kagaku no Railgun of which I have seen two episodes so far. I also downloaded the entire 2009 broadcast of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (including the old 2006 episodes) which I will watch in “Haruhi’s order” (that is, the chronological order) which I have yet to begin watching. Just for the record, I have watched the original 2006 broadcast of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (in “Kyon’s order,” as it was aired) before. Oh, and I started watching Bakemonogatari and have seen four episodes. Let’s see, what else is there?

Oh, I know! I’m being catching up my favorite manga series’. First I read 173 chapters of Katekyou Hitman REBORN! in three days (the last day I only read about 12-13 chapters, so you could say I caught up to it in two days), followed by quite a few chapters of Bleach. I stopped, however, with Bleach before I caught up to it and started reading One Piece. I have probably read something between 100-200 chapters, but I’m still not caught up. Not even to the anime.

Katekyou Hitman REBORN!

I reached the end of Final Fantasy IX, however I have not finished it yet and am currently playing Final Fantasy X. I will finish FFIX, but I will most likely finish FFX first, and possibly even Final Fantasy X-2 which I hope is not quite as linear as FFX (not to say that I don’t like FFX or think that it’s bad. I still have lots of fond, nostalgic memories of playing the game in the early 00′s as a small child).

I turn 17 in less than a month! March 5 is the day. I’m getting old. *sob*

Is there anything else? I fixed the audio on my PC with the help of my friend Jonas (yonasu.com) and I’ve decided to get a MacBook Pro before UppCon:10 in April. I don’t think I’ve got anything else to say but, “good night!”

I love FFX! You should definitely finish it! I'm working on a cosplay of Auron (of course, he's my favorite character) for a few anime cons I'm attending in the Spring. I can't wait when it's finished. ^_^

As for blogging, I have a problem juggling my posting schedule as well. Have you tried scheduling posts? I do that sometimes, for example: If I'll be out of town so people will have something to read in the meantime. But I've found it easier to post something right away once I think it's ready for readers to check it out. ^^

Nah, scheduling posts is too annoying and I don't really go out of town that often. And yeah, Auron is awesome. Good luck with the costume!
